I was listening to Metallica because I was doing a review of Boys I Know by Anna Gracia. It’s been a long time since I’ve listened to them, and this time around I paid closer attention to the lyrics of this song. I can see why there are so many people who hail this as their favorite Metallica song. Apparently Hetfield said he wrote this about a then-girlfriend, but these lyrics are so abstract. It can be interpreted so many different ways.
